It’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to blog and taken advantage of it. My wife and I have been busy with the kids, taking some vacation days with family, and lately watching the riveting 2008 Olympics. But I do plan on getting back into the regular habit of blogging.
The Lord has definitely blessed me and my wife with a awesome opportunity to lead a small group at our church. Even more so, the Lord has blessed us with some truly authentic relationships in the process. I am so thankful for the body of Christ. This summer, our church has been going through the latter part of 1 Corinthians. It’s been so encouraging to understand that everyone has a role to play in the body of Christ. There are no bench-warmers. It is not a spectator sport, as Pastor Todd likes to say. I am so thankful that the Lord has arranged the body in such a way that the giftedness of individual believers results in the edification of the body.
My wife and I are incredibly blessed by the early childhood ministry at our church. We are able to worship freely and learn from the word of God without distraction, even though we have two small children. I have been earnestly praying that the Lord would use me in such a way that it would result in the edification of others in the body of Christ. Praise God for his truth and for the church.
